In the UK you were slippered, strapped or caned.

@abuck Do you mean slippered ? My teacher used to put me over his knee, he then spanked my bottom and sent me home with a letter which always meant another spanking over Dad's knee when he got home from work !!

@abuck It was very common in those days. Classroom slipperings were daily events, there weren't many lessons where none of us got the slipper. The cane was in frequent use too.

@smacked30D I got it in class bent over a desk. I got the cane bent over a desk in the headmaster's or deputy headmistress's office. Only got spanked OTK in infants' and first years junior school. I sometimes got spanked OTK when older in different situations.

@NortiusMaximus when I started grammar school it didn’t take long for most of us to have received a whacking. Some boys who were generally well behaved, feeling left out having not been whacked, deliberately misbehaved in order to “join the club” with the majority of us.

@jackcros That brings back memories of my school days, caned across our bottoms by prefects or being sent to the headmaster for a spanking over his knee ! Our headmaster didn't cane us, he left that with the prefects but he did take our trousers down and put us across his knee for a good hard spanking with the school slipper ! @jackcros Yes, one wasn't with the "in crowd" until one had at least been slippered. Luckily (?) that wasn't difficult to achieve.

@smacked30D We sometimes got slippered by prefects. It wasn't allowed but officially but a blind eye was turned. Only the headmaster and deputy headmistress used the cane. Girls had to lift their skirts for it and we usually had to drop our trousers, especially if girls were being cane too. At home we all, boys and girls, got it on the bare arse.
