I Never Wear Shoes In the House

Strictly no shoes in my house for any visitors and strictly bare feet for me and my children in the home. This is how it’s always been, I hated the idea of the kids wearing socks inside and ruining them when bare feet are perfectly fine.

I am the same way. It is so normal to me I have a hard time wearing shoes in [i]other[/i] other's houses -- always seems weird to me.

@KarenMum I do too! But I was told once by some one that they found [i]that[/i] rude. Sometimes you can't win.

@AllTheWorlds I think it shows that pretty much any action can be seen on either side of it being rude or not. You just have to learn what the other person accepts.

I moved across the country (the US) and found that in our new community it is the norm to remove shoes in another's house. This was not usual back east.

I grew up in a no-shoes house. To this day I still find a little odd to be at someone's house and see them wearing shoes
