Topless Sisters

This morning I received a text from my sister. "Let's both do this weekend cook out TOPLESS. Ya know the guys will be shirtless. Equality!!! Not a lot of people. Mainly family."
I showed it to my husband and suggested she may be setting me up for a large crowd. (Always the jokester)
He said, " No tricks. She thinks you will just shut it down." His opinion was to do it and shock her. Just have fun.

I've already received the second text, "Well?!"
I've been up and down on this all morning. At home it is easy. Although her property is secluded, doing it outdoors with
the undefined "Mostly Family" has me thinking. Actually, I think I can do it and have a good time. I know if I agree and then renege, I'll never hear the end of it. Once I send her the thumbs up, I'm nailed. As I sit here pondering my decision, I'm staring at my bottle of sunblock. I'll make my decision shortly, hopefully, before the third text.

Updating after the weekend. No suspense-YES! We did it for two days. Please keep reading for details.

GETTING READY: We did the single clothing article each with mid waist distressed/destroyed shorts for me and linen draw string pants for my hubby. I was handed a beach towel in case we were tied up in traffic with cars alongside of us. We loaded up the desserts I made and the dog. Ten minutes into the trip, I realized I forgot the towel. If needed I'd just cross my arms over my chest. We arrived long before any guests without incident.
SATURDAY ATTENDEES: Two couples from my brothers-in-law's family. My sister's co-worker and husband. A cousin that recently returned to area newlywed with her husband. The son and daughter of my sister. The niece with her long-term boyfriend. My daughters, the older one with her boyfriend. (Although I expected this, I did not tell them.) Thanks, big sister!
HOW DID I DO: She planned it perfectly. There were enough people there to test my mettle, but not so many that I freaked out. There were probably only about five people that I had never met before. She must have prepped them well because there were no questions, comments or strange looks related to attire. I did get several compliments on my jewelry. Obviously, I was wearing more jewelry than clothing. I held my own always smiling and fairly relaxed.
MY CONFESSION: She had a bar set up when we arrived. Normally, I usually only have a few drinks each year at holidays and special events. I guess I put this in the "special events" category and had a few drinks to bring out my courage.
SUNDAY: The only attendees were our kids, niece and boyfriend, nephew and wife. My daughters came together without dates.
BEST PART OF IT ALL: Sunday after we ate, and my daughters were leaving, they hugged me and Sis, stared us down and said, "We have the coolest Mom....and Aunt."
HOW DID IT END: As we packed up the leftovers, Sis told me she had a fun time with this, and that I truly surprised her with my perfect poise. We hugged and then she said, "Annual event?" I left her with possibly every decade.

This was a crazy part of my life that I chose to share. Thank y'all for the support, caring, and making it through this excessively long post.

@CM440 you need to get your daughters, cousins and others to join you and your sister next time and work on losing the bottoms too. might get your husband to be the first to take off his shorts.
