A 12 year old with 72 months experience can get what ever kind of tattoo they want. Anything younger than that is a big no.

@hippyjoe1955Is that the law in Canada, or what you'd like to be legal?
"72 months experience"?
Six years "experience" of what, exactly?
12. Just about pubescent. Would a pubescent or younger child understand the implications of tattooing - not least that it cannot be removed except by surgery risking permanent scars. (In the USA if not Canada, removal would probably also be very expensive.)
What has such a child been doing since, or even before, the age of SIX, to be thought by supposedly-matureadults to be sufficiently qualified to choose entirely voluntarily, painful skin-treatment? Treatment that amounts to permanent disfiguring purely for vanity, and has no medical purpose or value whatsoever?
Or perhaps..... has had done to him or her, by allegedly grown-ups?
If an adult wants a tattoo, and it must be purely by own volition, fair enough. One or two - and only one or two - of my friends and acquaintances have had tattoos, but I have never seen the point and never wanted one.
A child though, even at 12... NO!

@ArishMell A twelve year old with 72 months experience makes one 18 which is the age of majority here in Canada. At 18 you are considered an adult.

@hippyjoe1955 Ah, but you didn't say that. Your words implied a 12yo can choose to be tattooed!
The Age of Majority is 18 in the UK too.
