I Wear Dresses and Skirts

In fact in my entire life I have never worn trousers, jeans, shorts etc., only skirts and dresses, mostly long for working around the house helping on the farm etc, It was how I was brought up, as have our daughters

Dear @TradWifeandMother, I very much appreciate it if a woman refrains from wearing trousers of any kind. Wearing skirts and dresses only is such a nice statement of femininity and traditional values.

Even better that you pass this on to your daughters. May need some "convincing" from time to time, but it sure pays to insist strict and consequently on the rules!

@BoeserMann What a blast from the last century! Skirts and dresses do not have genitals making them gender neutral. If these garments were the slightest bit feminine I would not be wearing them exclusively as a modern man just as modern women wear trousers of all lengths. 😇

I was raised with similar rules and when I once wore trousers I got found out and spanked for it. My upbringing also insisted no bare legs for young ladies, so prior to that is was knee socks and then stockings/tights when I was older.

I grew up very different to this in some ways. I wear a skirt every day at school, but when I am at home I have got free choice and I mostly chose not a skirt or dress.
But recently I have been thinking I would like to try wearing more, and tbh in a bigger sense, dressing more traditional (I am really into history and kind of old fashioned and idk they all merge into one thing lol) And trying to get more ideas and advice on where I should go with it.

@MrsPeterEvans i was the same skirts are school but I guess I made the most of not having to at weekends so I eneee up hardly wearing them ever. My dad was never really that bothered whatever I chose. But like I say I would like to try wearing more dresses and skirts (probably seems old fashioned to a lot of people but I don’t mind that idea) and I’m trying to find a style for myself.
MrsPeterEvans · 31-35, F
@MarthaMazz I think your dad will like you looking sweet. What is your school skirt like?
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@MarthaMazz That is lovely! Skirts and dresses are very feminine and in my opinion, women look more beautiful in it than in trousers or jeans.

Sounds inconvenient 🤔 I mean, to each their own. I hate how skirts and dresses impair my mobility
DamnFeelz · 36-40, F
@justanothername I like not flashing people lol
justanothername · 51-55, M
@DamnFeelz who says you have to flash anyone?
DamnFeelz · 36-40, F
I’m a very active woman. If I’m doing everything I do in a short skirt for mobility’s sake people will get flashed. There’s no way around that 😆 My option would be wearing shorts under my skirt, which in that case... why am I not just wearing shorts? Lol @justanothername

What do your daughters think of the skirts/dresses only rule. I was raised the same when I was growing up and did rebel a few times over this.
@adelesmith yeah..me too..
Houdini · 56-60, M
There’s nothing wrong with that if that’s what you want to wear then wear it.
JeanAnna · F
Maybe it's time you tried something different. There's nothing wrong with wearing jeans, or shorts. I'm from a big family too, my mother never wore anything except a dress, but if she were alive today, I think she would don a pair of jeans. And I know she would not judge her daughters for wearing them.
kaf9292 · 80-89, M
So do I since a man is far more comfortable wearing a garment that does not have a crotch seam.
Your daughters OK with that?
MrsPeterEvans · 31-35, F
@KimberleyAnne I was raised that way also
justanothername · 51-55, M
@DamnFeelz so wear shorts
