Why do humans create impractical shoes?

I was watching this and it dawned onto me. Even the average shoe isn’t even correctly made to fit the natural human foot.

I have no idea, really. I wear comfortable shoes with arch support

The shoes which definitely fit into that category are high heels.I can't see how any woman could wear them .
