I Want Ot Know How Many Shoes Do You Own

Zero! I do not own any shoes at all I live my life barefoot and I love the barefoot lifestyle. I ditched shoes 2 years ago when I finished with school and now I'm a barefoot college girl with a part time job filing in my mums office so I'm able to live completely barefoot.

Each to their own, I hope a year later nothing's changed...

I still wear shoes here and there, and I'll likely always own a pair barring calamity depriving me of them.
My go-to are VFFs, should I need them outside of work shoes, of course...

@serpenthydra Well I'm pleased to announce my feet are still bare! I have been barefoot now for just over 3 years!

@KatieJ What incited you to finally make the leap?
KatieJ · 22-25, F
@serpenthydra I've never really liked anything on my feet and i was always going around barefoot when I was younger and when I realised I didn't need to follow the social norms of shoe wearing and just went barefoot

@KatieJ Sorry to dig deeper but what made you realise that?

Many never make such a realisation, they feel they must conform, or so-and-so will think such-and-such...

@serpenthydra After walking around more and more barefoot in public without no comments at all helped me gain the self confidence to just be happy and barefoot
serpenthydra · 41-45, M
@KatieJ Fair enough...

As always it stems from self-confidence...

Darn
KatieJ · 22-25, F
@serpenthydra Well there's also the flip side in that I don't give a f**k what people think.
serpenthydra · 41-45, M
@KatieJ Did that exist before the self-confidence?
KatieJ · 22-25, F
@serpenthydra Kind of yeah
serpenthydra · 41-45, M
@KatieJ And how did that come about?
KatieJ · 22-25, F
@serpenthydra just always been that way
serpenthydra · 41-45, M
@KatieJ Must be how you were raised...

I wonder what was said to instil this sense of individuality in you...
KatieJ · 22-25, F
@serpenthydra Well I'm an only child that might have something to do with it but I dunno. All I know is I'm happier with barefeet
serpenthydra · 41-45, M
@KatieJ Same here... so that's not it. I was a shoddiie like 20 years before I stopped using them. Crushed feet, constant verrucas, ingrowing toe nails, nothing put me off shoes until something changed in me sometime 2006. And even then it was very slow progression until 2010 when I swore of them completely in my day-to-day...

So I dunno what makes you, you. But cherish it. Cos it's rare!
