I Don't Like To Wear Shoes

My toes need to be bare and free and my soles need to feel the world as I walk by 馃檪 shoes are just uncomfortable cages that our society here in UK forces upon people.

If I lived in warmer climes my shoe collection would be nil and I鈥檇 be barefoot all the time.

Well actually now it鈥檚 summer my feet will be 99.8% bare!

Very true about the UK weather. However, the people are also very Conservative.
I live in the country. There's a place by the river where the grass is like deep pile carpet. I always go barefoot. People look at me like I'm insane.
I go paddling in the sea no matter how cold it is.
The sands are pure white and totally unspoilt. Once again, people think I'm insane. Why?
It's so invigorating to be in the sea and very healthy for your feet.
The British are extremely shackled and terrified of being different. So they live inside a self-made shell. A prison that is self sustaining and self perpetuating

@mazza62 I wouldn't mind if they just imprisoned themselves but they insist on others doing the same. I've been told that I am unwelcome barefoot in a couple of Tescos, a Sainsburys, a butterfly farm, all in the UK.

As for being terrified of being different, well it's a strange thing because we used to celebrate difference and eccentricity
