I Don't Like To Wear Shoes

My toes need to be bare and free and my soles need to feel the world as I walk by 🙂 shoes are just uncomfortable cages that our society here in UK forces upon people.

If I lived in warmer climes my shoe collection would be nil and I’d be barefoot all the time.

Well actually now it’s summer my feet will be 99.8% bare!

I fully agree with you. It's wonderful to feel the ground, especially natural ground, under your bare soles, making you aware that you are alive and connected with all the life around you. I am an old man now, but still prefer to walk without shoes whenever possible.

Very true about the UK weather. However, the people are also very Conservative.
I live in the country. There's a place by the river where the grass is like deep pile carpet. I always go barefoot. People look at me like I'm insane.
I go paddling in the sea no matter how cold it is.
The sands are pure white and totally unspoilt. Once again, people think I'm insane. Why?
It's so invigorating to be in the sea and very healthy for your feet.
The British are extremely shackled and terrified of being different. So they live inside a self-made shell. A prison that is self sustaining and self perpetuating

@mazza62 I wouldn't mind if they just imprisoned themselves but they insist on others doing the same. I've been told that I am unwelcome barefoot in a couple of Tescos, a Sainsburys, a butterfly farm, all in the UK.

As for being terrified of being different, well it's a strange thing because we used to celebrate difference and eccentricity

Couldn't have said it better myself! We are meant to be barefoot. I go barefoot almost as much as you. When I can't it's usually it's usually just flip-flops. I walk for exercise twice a day (morning and after dinner). I'm doing at least 3 miles every day, barefoot.

@nudydude No one is really barefoot in class nowadays; my former speech professor turned down my speech about barefooting and I had to pick "an actual law" to do a speech on despite it's legal to be barefoot in public and is an actual law.

Never at home, and always bare footed from around March to September (except at work) UK weather is too sucky after September to barefoot out and about through to march, but if the suns out the feet are free...nothing beats skin to floor contact..

On vacation so nothing but sandals while out. Feels good
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
What about sandals? Your toes will be free too.
UnshodAdvocate · 26-30, M
@Mugin16 - Barefooting allows your entire feet to be free instead of just your toes.

I have to same dream, to be barefoot all the time.
UnshodAdvocate · 26-30, M
It's better when barefoot.
