I've worn heels through airports several times, and some people noticed as I took them off, put them on the belt, tiptoed through Security and put them on the other end. I'd have regarded it as a compliment if people commented. Maybe I'm 'pervy' for wearing heels.

@Mikemcneil I will tell you why I wear heels. They are a miracle cure for backache. If I wear flat shoes I get backache within minutes if I'm standing or walking around. That pain will then continue for hours even after I've sat down. If I wear heels of at least 3.5 inches I have no pain. I'd rather put up with the occasional troglodyte like you than with the pain. If I were in a wheelchair would you describe me as 'pervy'?

Last year we travelled to New York, and at the other end we were kept in a queue for about an hour to get through Passport Control. If I'd been in flat shoes my back would have been really hurting.

Actually, I've been wearing heels almost continually for the last three years, and no one ever has commented on them. I go shopping, on public transport, to my self-employed work, to company meetings with up to 5000 present, to family gatherings, etc. I'd say 95% of people don't even notice as they're too preoccupied with their own little bubble, and the rest obviously don't think it's a big deal. I've even worn stilettos a couple of times in a busy shopping centre, just to see whether anyone commented. More noticed them than usual, but I got no comments, no sniggers, or anything.

Troglodyte? Ever thought of getting medical heels? Thought not.

If you were in a wheelchair I'd presume there was a medical need for that. If not it's also a fetish.
