I bought a Tunisian crochet needle and plan to try and make a scarf for someone…

There’s not enough time for me to finish it by Christmas, but perhaps by her birthday on January 17. We’ll see. I’m going to work with a simple stitch.

Very cool. I've never tried to but looove crocheted afghans. I think a fan of anything hand made.

Was taught by my gran but haven't done it in years.
@onewithshoes My grandmother taught me to crochet and knit, as well. I had also stopped until about 2015, when an EP friend posted about learning how to knit from YouTube videos. That prompted me to take it up again. 😄

Another skill I have never mastered. I'm sure it will be appreciated when you present it.

I tried to crochet but it didn’t work out 😞

My wife is always crocheting
@Degbeme Very cool. One of the last things I crocheted for my mother was an afghan in red and green, for Christmas. She was so thrilled with it and kept it with her even in the care facility. After she passed, the workers returned it with her other belongings. My father keeps it on his bed now.

@bijouxbroussard Those sound like lovely colours. I`m glad you got it back.

I know nothing about knitting or crocheting, so is this any different than an “American” needle?
@sciguy18 Longer—the hook is over a foot long, and used kind of as a combination between crocheting and knitting.

@bijouxbroussard I’ll be interested to see what you make
