I'm just a girl from the back woods of Mississippi

So can you tell me the difference between a dinner and a gala dinner? It's on an invitation. LMAO

@Scousspeter 🤷🏼
doesn't a gala dinner only serve apples?.... i'm just some dude from canaduh 🤷
A gala dinner is a large-scale, formal evening event, typically featuring a multi-course meal, live entertainment, and a strict dress code (often black-tie). Held in luxurious venues, these events are designed to celebrate milestones, raise funds for charity, or provide high-end networking for businesses.

@FreeSpirit1 Lol, no.

i guess the latter is dressier?
a dinner is paper plates and plastic forks, knives and spoons, a gala put on your sunday go to church best the dishes won't have any chips and the glasses are a set. here in Amish country it's hard to tell if it's a regular dinner or special candle light dinner

gala= dressing up. No thanks.

I have no idea. I feel like its a black tie sort of thing 🤷‍♂

It’s a fancy, formal event that serves expensive food that is often not what you would normally eat. You will want to shave your legs and plan on grabbing a burger on the way home.

Hmm? Sounds like snobbery

A gala dinner is a very formal, high profile, black-tie event that is often associated with fundraising where donators contribute thousands of dollars.
