I bought my wife a few new items of clothing that she could wear for work

She had been accused of ‘showing off’ as she wore designer label clothing to her teaching (supply teacher) position and some students said she was stuck up.
I got her some stuff from a slightly lower level (like slightly below Ralph Lauren.)
It arrived yesterday and she was visibly upset when she opened the bags. She didn’t shout at me, but did talk about ‘maintaining standards’.

All I can say is that I tried.

Sounds like there are some jealous types where she is working.You did try and help.However a better solution would be to deal with those that are jealous.I'n assuming you mean other teaching staff.As to what the students think ignore that and just be a good teacher.

She’s really nice, she just has a strong personality and will tell you exactly what she thinks. I will admit that one of her ex best friends did openly call her an ‘insufferable cow’ on Facebook and a couple of other people have said something similar. They’ve just not seen her nice side. @ElyssTTTrucks
