Are bikinis smaller this year compared to those a few years ago?

I'm not a student of bikinis, but they can't get much smaller that the string bikini my wife wore years ago.

I feel like they may have got slightly bigger versus a few years ago but just my experience. Whatever one enjoys

Makes one wonder why human beings are the only animals who know shame about their bodies and why at the beach or similar places we feel the need for bathing suits at all.
