When you say "old people" I trust you are speaking of today's senior citizens. The reason they are so shocked and even "repulsed" may be due to the fact they were brought up in a more conservative era. Couple that with old age and maturity, they have a lot more of life to draw their values and standards from than we do. Just saying.

@factanonverba but they literally invented the style 😭 how are they gonna be mad at me for liking what they created? If they hated it, they shouldn’t have made it!

They are not necessarily shocked, they just don't like alternative fashion.

@MaryDreamilton they should be used to it by now, that’s my point. Complaining about it is kind of a waste of their blood pressure levels.

@666Maggotz Some people are natural-born complainers. Live with it.

@MaryDreamilton No because I’m a complainer too and now they have to deal with me.

For one second, I looked at your name and I was like, "I like this person. I'm going to add this person to my friends list."
Then I realized it's you. 😆
Anyway, here's the most appropriate song I can think of on the subject.

You looked great too. They don’t like different, that’s why.
You changed your name.
