@thriftycraft I'm from the US. Obviously it's not a great place for Palestine but we have the ability to be which makes everything that's happening particularly upsetting and frustrating.

@thriftycraft Welcome! I'm about to go to sleep, so I won't be around any longer tonight. You can send me a private message if you like, but I don't really use them much, I do most of my interaction in the comment sections. I think that is typical, that most people on the site interact mostly in the comment sections, especially with new users. If people do use the private messages I think it's usually with their closest friends here who they've known for years. In general I think people have the best experience on this site when they get to know other users by talking to them in comments and replies. Unfortunately there are a lot of people who are varying levels of abusive or manipulative or otherwise unpleasantly aggressive who come to this site, and many of the regular users are dealing with varying levels of trauma, so I think most users feel safer interacting with strangers "in public" where everyone can see what's being said.
