I know first hand when people reach a certain size the clothing they wear must be custom made because manufacturers don’t think about men or women who are on the large side.

And there’s such a difference in size too even with the same supplier@KimBras

@KimBras you're right there, manufacturers definitely don't take the more extreme figure into consideration. Custom attire costs the earth!

Also you need the people making it to understand a bigger figure it’s not just the numbers if that makes sense @Richard65
@Richard65 Unfortunately, it's not a problem that is restricted to sizes like in this example, though...

Pretty bras for ladies taper out at a 40 bust, too - and that's only a size 16/18 in clothing.

Since she discovered sports bras comfort trumps pretty lol@HootyTheNightOwl
@Willomk1 Lol, I appreciate comfort - but I also like to feel sexy, too... even if no one else sees it. The "right" underwear does wonders for my confidence levels.

I know it’s weird isn’t it@HootyTheNightOwl

@HootyTheNightOwl custom made bras are expensive also which is why most people that wear custom made clothes try to repair them themselves instead of buying new ones.
@KimBras Custom made anything is expensive - sometimes, there does come a point where you have to consider if going custom made and having something that's guaranteed to fit you might be higher value for money than taking the gamble that you "might" find something that fits on the high street or online, though.

In this case, I have a feeling that you're never going to find anything readily available for OP's partner - and I really don't want her to go through the discomfort and potentially life threatening danger of trying to squeeze into something that is too small for her.

If something goes wrong, it's not just the cost of the item they're potentially down - but it could be the cost of medical treatment, too... and then you have to think if custom made might be cheaper than the ambulance ride and treatment in hospital???

@HootyTheNightOwl I agree 100% I know first hand how that is and how important the proper fit is to a person
