In the UK, where is the best place to look for a winter Overcoat for men ?

Been looking for ages.
Amazon has a somewhat limited selection, and while it's the 'obvious' place to look, when it comes to fit i'm finding it impossible to judge 'fit'.

I'm short and stocky but that doesn't seem to be a 'style' they cater for.
Any suggestions welcome.

you could try a charity shop

@Matt85 That's what I was going to suggest - I have had some superb coats in charity shops. @Picklebobble2 Go to the poshest area nearby - they always have the best!

@Matt85 In the US I think we call them 'thrift stores.' Anyway, this Xmas my kids bought themselves some wonderful dressy winter overcoats a a thrift store for a song.
