How do you get rid of stains on your silk dress?

I'm a real female lady by the way .
Asking this question because I'm just a regular lady online .

I always see adverts for Vanish an how it's amazing at stain removal.
No clue if it works though, I never used it.

@Matt85 It's not amazing but it does work better than most of the 'folk' remedies and it's a bit less likely to cause further staining.
