Yay or nay

What's the big deal with people looking down on someone, who wears 2nd hand clothing.
I know thrifting is somewhat cool now days, but it's still got some stigma, the people that are into thrifting and people that are into name brands, designer, Instagram world are too seperate people and when they meet the person with more money looks down on others.

I personally don't care, I love charity shops, they clothed me for almost all my childhood, and most of my adulthood, it's just clothes🤷‍♀️what's important is the quality of those clothes, it's environment friendly to ♻️ it's cost efficient too♻️💰 had people look down on me because I buy 2nd hand shoes aswell, I don't care, at least I live within my means, besides my personal style is easily found in these stores🤷‍♀️
Are you into thrifting, if not why? If yes what's something you wouldn't buy from thrifts?

I’m not into thrifting. I understand the benefits of it, and I don’t look down on anyone who does it. I personally prefer clothes that were only ever mine. I grew up always getting hand-me-downs that never fit me and clothes from thrift stores or rejected donations because that’s all my parents could afford; and there was always this distinct smell to them even after washing. It’s a bad memory for me.

@Colonelmustardseed I hear you on that, childhood memories too, for me I don't mind though, I do anything I can to get rid of the smel lol, but I get that.
I grew up with them and still wear them, because even though I live alone I'm kinda poor lol.
