I have a 70-year-old friend who's been getting purple highlights for a few years now. With her, it is partly in honor of her favorite football team.

@Poppies That's very cool in all and very supportive, but what does that have to do with my grandpa not liking my hair?
Poppies · 61-69, F
@LaylaTheTallGirl Not a thing!
Maybe he's just a stick in the mud.

He's entitled to his opinion- and you did ask. If you want to be bold and follow through with your preferences, then do that. No use getting upset over them not being EVERYONE'S preferences.

Dyed purple, green, pink streaks or highlights look great.

Remind grandpa what women were doing with their hair in the 1950s and 60s.

My prom date in1959 did her hair like one of these. I think there was a contest for the tallest hive.

Don't worry about it, elderly people don't like change. They want the whole world to run along forever the way they remember it. I'm sure their parents didn't like their hair and fashions when they were young, but they forget about that.

He doesn’t have to like your hair but he didn’t have to voice his opinion

@SW-User He was RUDE. Sometimes he can be too blunt that I don’t wanna ask him anything.
