Is it normal for my ballet flats to get extremely slippery all of a sudden?

My black ballet flats have really soft, totally flat and smooth rubber soles that have always had really good grip. Lately though, if I have been in the kitchen doing stuff, I can feel them sliding on the tiles. It is the same when I am out, on some wet indoor stairs, where the rubber would usually be able to grip. It is also becoming difficult to walk notably in mcdonalds, public bathrooms even worse, terrible on wet grass, I almost got stuck on a little slope.
Is it something that is expected with shoes like this? Why before they had so much more traction?
I don't know about 'all of a sudden' but it makes sense that the sole would be sanded smooth by contact with abrasive terrain (sidewalks, for example).

I have used the product and others like it, and find it is pretty effective.

@Mamapolo2016 hadn’t ever seen that; seems like a good product. But I wear waffle sole boots. The worst I deal w/ is gravel getting stuck in the soles - I guess that’s no slip too

It's possible you have worn them a bit too smooth...or you may have stepped in something that made the rubber slippery.

I was at a fast food place two months ago, and there were slippery floor warning posts pushed to one side. They had washed the floor, and it was dry, but they had not rinsed it properly. It was still slippery when dry. My rubber soled sneakers remained slippery ALL the rest of that day. I was skidding all over the place.

@4meAndyou they were perfectly smooth since the beginning... and they are slippery since weeks, not just for one day...

@annxyz Might you need a new pair?

@4meAndyou why, they are not old...

I wear ballet flats most of the time and I've never had a problem like that with them. I'm wearing them right now.

@HairbrushDiva how is the traction of yours? Is ok on wet floors and also wet grass?

@annxyz I haven't had any problem with them so far but I've got more than one pair.

@stound they are ballet flats with rubber soles for everyday, not pointe dance shoes for dancers. Thank you anyway for your reply.
