What silly beliefs do you have?

We all talk about criticism like its the holy grail of growth. A middle spot is nicer. Where you get to celebrate your silly beliefs until you are ready to let them go. Sort of like how we allow kids to believe in fairies, santa clause..

There are things we adults do think and know are wrong/potentially wrong, we doubt them and cherish them..we hold unto them for the consequential benefit and the magic. And if they are harmless, why not?

We are complex beings and it is so much beauty, ugliness, destructive and creative... it is many things in between too. And it is not always as bad as we are sometimes made to feel.

Ooooh this is fun and lovely. I talk to my pets and really all animals like they can understand exactly what I’m saying. And sometimes I think they are sent to me by lost loved ones.

I also think places have personalities based on the memories they hold.

@SwampFlower This is precious. I do the same but also to plants.

In door plants need be covered during the wohoo 👀 to not get traumatized.
@SwampFlower I think pets do have some understanding of what we're saying. My pups know what snack and supper mean, if say wanna go for a walk, they head to the door.

@Hinckley They probably understand more than we do in some situations
@Miram I will certainly agree with you!

@Miram I just realized I talk to plants like this too. I guess really anything alive. 😅

I wonder if that is why all my house plants die 👀
@SwampFlower Have you thought about singing to the plants, I think I read somewhere that they seemed to respond well to music.

@SwampFlower Maybe find some classy erotica to read to them and get them all worked up?

@Hinckley wait we come full circle. That’s why they died in the first place
@SwampFlower Maybe try it in French, Spanish, or Latin - naughty Latin is quite nice - Illa deliquium labiis rubentibus osculatur..

@Miram I know this to be true. Both of my cats and my dog certainly know their names and each have certain words they react to. All three of them cats included understand lay down. My youngest cat understands stop and intentionally challenges me and does it more until I move then starts running. They all have their own way of telling me they need something. Food or water.

@Gibbon I wonder what small things fish do to express themselves to their human friends.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Miram I've had several kinds of fish. They actually learn routines living in a tank. Some will swim along the glass looking out if their feeding time is missed.

@SwampFlower My childhood friend's mom would talk to her cats a lot and it was very cute. My brother says she once admitted to him that she thinks they talk to her in return.
