How many unsung heroes exist?

So many things to say

And I'm not sure where to begin

It's the crush

Who puts you before them

It's the man (or woman)

Who can barely afford to eat

But makes sure you don't go hungry

It's the guy or gal

That makes sure your kids

Have a positive influence

It's the kid who says

Mommy Daddy stop fighting

It's the parent

Protecting the child

Yet making sure

They know how to rebound

The heroes

Who make us ok in our own skin

They'll be unnoticed

But we're all better

With them
