People who hate alt-righters
I’ll start out by saying that politically, I’d consider myself a center-right libertarian. I strongly dislike both the far left and the far right.
Today’s radical right, often called the alt-right, is run primarily by narcissists. Here’s the thing about narcissists. They thrive on attention. It doesn’t matter if it’s positive or negative attention; all attention is good to them. And guess what? People like Donald Trump and Kanye West are constantly getting that attention. Other radical right wingers and even many traditional Republicans practically worship them like they’re going to save the planet. But they aren’t who I want to criticize right now. The bigger problem is that those on the left ALSO give them just as much attention as the right, if not more. It’s negative attention, but remember that to these people, there is NO SUCH THING as negative attention. Both love and hate equally fuel their ego, and when the left is constantly criticizing them over things like outlandish tweets, they’re giving them that exact attention that they crave.
Want to change things for the better and take power away from these types of people? It’s simple. Stop paying attention to them. Once they quit getting what they want, they’ll eventually have to give up. Half the things they say they don’t even mean; they just say it to see others’ reaction. The worst type of reaction for them is none at all.
