Gotta Love This Guy

Why I Mow My Own Lawn - Lee Trevino: a true story

One day, shortly after joining the PGA tour in 1965, Lee Trevino, a professional golfer and married man, was at his home in Dallas, Texas, mowing his front lawn, as he always did.

A lady driving by in a big, shiny Cadillac stopped in front of his house, lowered the window and asked, “Excuse me, do you speak English?"

Lee responded, “Yes ma'am, I do."

The lady then asked, “What do you charge to do yard work?”

Lee said, "Well, the lady in this house lets me sleep with her."

The lady hurriedly put the car into gear and sped off.

One of my all time favorites in the sport. Got to hang out with him a few times and played with him once. Never stops talking and the stories and lessons are priceless.

@JesseInTX He's definitely one of my favs too.

That's awesome. I bet he was a lot of fun to be around.

@Rutterman he was a riot. He’d tell a joke walking up the fairway, watch you hit a shot and give you a critique (and I was a 6 handicap at the time, still a 7 today), tell a story about a night out with another pro before a round or something during a round in a tournament, and as you walked to the green something his Dad taught him. A genuinely nice man.
Lady of the house: *bish* 🤛 🤭😄

That last line though…sounds so familiar! 😂🤣

@Vivaci Haha. Who said this to you? 😄
@Rutterman I mean….I don’t want to say how well I know you by explaining my ways…😌😝
