What would be your reaction upon receiving a letter from the maternity ward revealing an error, stating that you brought home the wrong baby?

Could you willingly part with the child you've cared for and cherished in favor of your biological child?
I knew someone who that happened to. They kept their “fake” sons and went and visited the blood family during holidays. They were 7 when they found out.

@CrystalSkull That is insane. I can see it being difficult to give up the child you've created the bond with. Despite knowing it's not your biological child, you can't just stop loving the kid.
@Justice4All yeah neither the moms or kids or siblings wanted a permanent swop. The mother said…he may not be my biological son but he’s my child. The other family felt the same. They gave the moms the wrong babies.
Get my bio kid, and ask if I could be Godfather to the kid I now have to part with.🤷‍♂️ It would be weird and difficult to just walk away.

@UnderLockDown It would be very difficult, even more so for the children.
@Justice4All I have a difficult time parting with kittens after they find a new home, parting with a child would be unbearable!! Not afraid to admit, there would be a lot of crying involved.😭

I’d want my real baby
Justice4All · 36-40, M
@Flenflyys Yeah, and you've been wondering why the baby doesn't have your good looks. The mother probably switched babies because her baby was ugly.
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
@Justice4All well I definitely don’t want an ugly baby

Hell No!.. Its taken be over forty years to train them..😷
I was told of that happening back in the days before DNA testing. They didn’t discover it until the children were in school. One family was bilingual and the other family’s child had been raised with both languages. The families ended up blending, and the kids belonged to both. Then other members intermarried, and it was one family.

me and the other family move in together and live great on that lawsuit money

@Justice4All duplex fix that
Justice4All · 36-40, M
@Lilnonames That's a better solution... Otherwise you may run into another "who's the baby's daddy" situation.

@Justice4All they only have to cohabitate like that until someone gives them an entire chocolate factory
