If a conjoined twin committed a crime but the other twin was innocent

How would the jail sentence work? Do they both gotta go to jail even though one is innocent? Is the other twin treated as an accomplice since they were probably there when the crime was committed? 🤔 Like "OUR hand stabbed that guy so technically WE committed this crime"

My lady just asked me this question & it sparked an interesting conversation. So I thought it'd make an interesting thought here... or a weird one. But that's SW's theme so hey 🙃

I kinda love her for this.

I'd say yes both in jail, the 2nd is also committing the crime. Congruent sentences though, it would be like double jeopardy or something if they had consecutive time served.

@Starcrossed straight to jail

Lol these conversations remind me of when her & I were still friends & we just talked about the funniest things for hours 😅
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@ChiefJustWalks so will we be hearing soon of an engagement 💍 😏
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
@Starcrossed it could take me some time to decide to commit to marriage but I'm open to it 😅 I did ask her if we got married if she'd rather spend more money on the wedding or on the honeymoon & she said honeymoon. So if we ever got married it could likely be a simple one

That's honestly a good question lol. I say that incarceration may not be possible if it unjustly detains the innocent twin. Alternative sentencing could include house arrest or supervised release, where both twins remain in a controlled environment without imprisoning an innocent person.

You couldn't really do it any other way since I'm not sure the innocent one can't say no or not, do they each control a leg?

I dunno.
Prettybratbi1tch · 26-30, F
Good question I'd like to know the answer as well
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
@Prettybratbi1tch lemme know if you hear anything 🙃
This is hurting my brain but it reminds me of the conjoined twins that married some guy but apparently he was only married to one of them. I had so many questions
@ChiefJustWalks and it's not like he can tell her without the other one hearing so I guess we'll never know
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
@HijabaDabbaDoo I just thought "he can text it to her" but then I realized the twin could probably see everything she does on her phone 😂

@ChiefJustWalks I do not imagine conjointed twins have any concept of privacy since they have never had it. I mean they simply could not imagine being without the other.

I would think dating conjointed twins would be tough anyways because you know how when we are young, the entire god d4mn planet ALREADY disapproves of ANYone we are with. It would just be kind of, well how would one explain that situation?
Imagine the questions one would be bombarded with daily.

I wrote a play about that, based on a supposedly true story, that was produced here in Denver in 1985.
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
@hunkalove did you really? That's pretty cool you wrote it & got to see it produced. Where was the true story from though?
hunkalove · 70-79, M
@ChiefJustWalks Weekly World News. It happened in Paraguay. Probably not true. I had fun with it.
tobynshorty · 51-55, F
Funny question! I cant imagine how that would work. You just gave me
a headache 🤣
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Depends on how much is one dependant on the other. There's various degrees of being conjoined.

At some point they would be separated.
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
@DeWayfarer I assume the main thing would be them having different minds & consciousness because then it'd be possible to have differing views 🤔 but being conjoined would mean the both can & can't really stop the other one.. depending on the degree of conjoined-ness (I know that's not a word I didn't know what to say lol)
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@ChiefJustWalks When in doubt reword: "depending on the degree of being(how they are) conjoined".

Conjoined twins however don't necessarily have control of all the body parts. One is usually more dominant. That is my meaning. Of course, the dominant one would have to be the one committing the crime.
Are these the same conjoined twins who just moved to England so the other one could drive?
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
@PhoenixPhail wait what? 🤣 Is that real? How tf
YoMomma ·
How could they be innocent?
YoMomma ·
@ChiefJustWalks aren't conjoined twins physically attached to each other? How could they be oblivious to murder plans?
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
@YoMomma not all murders are planned. That's why planned ones are called "pre-meditated"
You might be taking the question too seriously though lol
YoMomma ·
Lilymoon · F
Since they're conjoined is there any other way? 😅
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
@Lilymoon probably not but that's what I'm wondering too... Like they can't always chop 'em in half & put them in different places 😶
Sazzio · 36-40, M
Both will get punished the innocent "Assisted murder."
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
@Sazzio damn.. poor twin. They might not have even wanted to assist 😢
