So it took a while but I got it figured out

Update to my last post

So I told my therapist about what was happening with my son. He said he it's not uncommon for this to happen and he told me what to do to get this fixed.

There was a coding issue with my son's appointments. It seems they were entered in for grief only and not support for his ADHD. And he had reached the limit for the year. So to get the new code I needed his pediatrician to right a request to get him approved for this. So I called his doctor and he gladly submitted the paperwork to the insurance.

The insurance company called me to say the got the new paperwork and he is now approved for 4 appointments a month. He was only going twice a month before.

I am definitely going to change counselors though. This whole thing could of been avoided if he would of submitted the new request and got him reapproved right away. And I never would of needed to know about this at all.

My therapist gave me a theory but I can't prove it or don't want to. He said it sounds like he didn't want to continue seeing my boy because he was only twice a month and it wasn't as profitable a someone coming in 4 times a month.

But I'm just glad I got it figured out. My therapist also gave me a referral for a great counselor he strongly recommended.

So we see him next week. I think it's going to be really good.

We are just poker chips of different values to those in any part of the therapy fields. Some but not all doctors as well. You can tell if you're just a number by how they interface and spend time with you.

@Gibbon I am so lucky that I have a good therapist. He really cares listen and goes above and beyond to help me. It took me years to find him. If he would work with kids I would bring my kids to him as well.

@Cigarguy101 After many years I finally have a doctor I like as well. He listens and cooperates with me even if it's against his professional opinion he understands.

@Gibbon I've always struggled finding good doctors most of them don't want to deal with my tourette's or OCD issues.

That’s great news. I thought that might be the case. 👍🏻
