this poor man just got out of prison and is a security guard at my neighborhood pool. i overheard him saying his son just got shot, and i had built up a friendship with this guy over time. He is AFRAID TO LEAVE HIS JOB BC HE WILL BE FIRED, and his son is in the hospital, shot in the CHEST. i said LET ME TAKE YOUR SHIRT and take over your shift or give you a ride. he hasnt taken me up on it..bc he may not be able to get a JOB after this and has 7 kids. I'm so sad and mad right now!!!

Update: we hatched a plan that he would use his old security rounds photos and send them every hour like normal, and i would stay behind and make sure everybody signed in and stuff. He just made it back before closing, so he had a good 2 hours with his baby, and I set up the chairs and all for him so he didnt have anything to come back and do. We got away with it!! He got to see his son and keep his job!!
