some young people still have respect....

i happened to be on public transit the other day when a young lady offered me her seat...lol i'm in my early 50s but such a sweet gesture. i declined...but what really gets me are the young ones who don't offer their seat to those who need one. shame on you!

Don't judge the cover by its book. Young people have period cramps, are pregnant, have sore muscles from exercise, invisible pain or mental struggles that makes them need a seat too.

@beermeplease Maybe not but you never know what any person is going through physically mentally emotionally.

It's not just older people who needs to sit. Is my point.
@Queendragonfly i get it...when my mom was alive and needed a walker she was waiting for a bus. there were a few other people waiting too. the norm is to allow those types to board first, but as the bus approached they could see the bus was near full...they didn't allow her to get on first thus making her wait for the next one....in the freezing rain

@beermeplease All I know is my local trains and busses have rules for how many bikes /strollers /walkers can fit on the bus. If they are full they are full. Also if there's kids needing to get to school on the morning bus, they should go first on the bus imo. Seniors have sick taxi etc here
@Queendragonfly no...the point was they knew the bus was full. had she got on first she would have had a seat. but they butt in the line. it was mid day so kids didn't have to go to school. unfortunately my mom couldn't be bothered with "seniors taxi" cus it was a bit of a pain in the ass for her to organize even if i helped. i actually hated it when my mom took transit as i thought she'd always fall down. my brother and i would take her to her appointments when we could...but she's gone now so that doesn't matter anymore 😥

@beermeplease Ah I understand. Here they open the back door and the one with a walker can blip their card after they have got on board from the back. So no competition of space.

But I'm sorry it was a hazzle for her and that it didn't feel safe to let her go through transit. And I'm sorry for your loss 🙁❤️

I rarely stress to go on board if I see someone with a walker or stroller etc I wait to see if they need help to get on or off. But most manage fine on their own as the bus and trains have specific Ramps and can lower the entry so it's easy to get on.
@Queendragonfly actually our transit system is pretty top notch.... i live fairly close to the downtown core of vancouver and when me and my gang wanna party it up or head to a game of some sort then the train is a blessing.... nobody has to drive
