The band leader is Wallace Hartley - he is the middle picture. I learned about him when I researched this song and wanted to find out what it was about:

My great grandma's cousin, and some other relatives, died on the Titanic. About half his group survived, they boarded the ship in Cherbourg. They were all traveling in 3rd class.
