I Think Children Should Respect And Obey Parents

Well, undoubtedly. Yet, I wanna move out away from them because to me, they are just parents. They aren't friends. And while that bond is stronger than any friendship you'd make at this age, I don't like this talking down to a child business. I wish I could converse with them as I do my other friends yet the atmosphere around them stops me.

If you ask me one should keep their best interests at heart. Ideally your parents would have said interest but there are bad parents in the world and plenty worthy of being disobeyed. And besides that even good parents are not always right. I think an important part about growing up is learning to think for yourself. I do definitely think though the younger you are the more you should obey your parents.

It's great that you realise that - plenty of kids do nothing but complain about their parents, how they're too strict, don't let me stay out late, don't understand me etc etc etc
