I would suggest that you take out a life insurance policy on your kid while he's a new-born. The premium is next to nothing and you can add additional riders every few months for just a couple of bucks. I did that for my grandaughters and the policies are now $110,000 $43.72 on the oldest one and $40.36 on the youngest one. I got them at the same time so the age makes a difference.
I don't expect anything to ever happen to them but school bus accidents do happen. I think the worse thing is for parents to have to take up a collection to bury their child. When I die it will be up to the parents to maintain the policies.
