Did you find out your baby’s gender before they were born?

We have chosen not to find out what our baby is. I want the surprise when it’s born 🤗🤗🤗

Everyone asks us constantly if/when we are finding out and is so shocked when we say we are waiting. It seems so uncommon these days but I didn’t think it would be!

In my head it’s a boy. I just have a feeling but we will see 😊😊

We didn’t with our first. I did an awesome mountain themed nursery that was perfect for a girl or boy. We struggled for a couple hours to decide on her name when she was born, but we struggled with boy and girl names the whole pregnancy lol. Overall, I’m really glad we waited!! It also kept me from stereotyping typing her with boy/girl traits during pregnancy lol.

I’m pregnant again now. My husband wants to wait again. I secretly had them tell me the sex the other day…but only because I have ALL this girl stuff stored in the basement and I wanted to know whether I’m keeping it all or replacing it lol. I certainly don’t want to have to worry about decluttering and organizing a basement full of baby stuff after baby is born lol. (I’m not telling my husband obviously about the sex)

@cherryxblossom It can be a huge deal adjusting expectations based on your baby's gender. And that is just a small part of it.
@IamCuriousBabe That wasn’t really an issue for me. I tried for years to get pregnant and I was thrilled to have a baby, period. I had no expectations for a boy or a girl. Just wanted a healthy baby. ❤️

@cherryxblossom What I meant was the things you plan for down the line once you know you are going to have a boy or a girl. And yes, more important than that is your baby is healthy.
@IamCuriousBabe I understand. You can’t really have expectations for your kids regardless of gender though. They’re going to be genuinely them, regardless of what you hope for 😂

@cherryxblossom Oh definitely. And speaking of gender, you know what I think about gender reveal parties? There may be a much bigger surprise years later!
