Should I be in trouble for not wanting to watch a movie that deals with religious belief in God?

My mom is mad at me for it and will take my phone for a week unless I watch it, meh it's just a week it won't kill me, but if I am uncomfortable going to church or watching these movies should t I get the choice to say no?
