First one died in the second trimester. Second one is grown up, married, and working. Took on two older kids whose mother died and whose dad ran off. Lived with me four years and the boy decided to skip school for two months. The girl is OK. She's on her own now. The boy is with his grandmother. Met a kid overseas whose dad was dying and for two years I've helped him and his family so he can go to school and get trained so he can get a good job. He graduates next month. Also helping two girls whose parents are gone. Some kids work out and some don't.

@crunchyvirgo: At your age, you shouldn't want the responsibility. Live your life. See the world. Do the things that would be difficult to do with children.

@Hdryder555: they can be good but they can be bad too and maybe it's all in how they are raised or some factor you have no control over but if they go bad it's "Goodnight Irene"! Also, how much you'll spend depends on their interests, ability, and education. Then there's health care and insurance. If they need to have their teeth straightened or wisdom teeth removed you'll spend about $10K. If you have a kid with a congenital heart defect or premature like a friend ansd also my niece have had you'll go bankrupt.
yeah. i would always tell people "ask me in 10 years" or whatever when they asked me but after working at a family shelter and interacting with kids, I want to eventually have one, maybe two...its a big responsibility that i dont really want to think about at the present time though

I have raised one as a single dad. I took care of two other teenagers after their mom died. I've also taken care of three other kids that I've met along the way. Nick, Jessica, Josh,Tina,Sarah,and Jeff. I love you all.

Yes. I still want at least 2 kids, even at my age. I've given myself a maximum of 4 years to to find a woman who wants a family with me and make it happen.
