is it rude to tell older ladies at the grocery store, “please don’t touch my baby’s face”? 😡👶🏼

i genuinely don’t understand why some people feel like they can just reach out and touch a baby without asking first. i know most people mean well and think babies are adorable, but that’s still my child, and i don’t think it’s unreasonable to set a boundary. 🤷🏼‍♀

I agree. Plus germs!

Sounds totally reasonable to me. Sounds like the kind of ladies who, when you tell them that you don;t like hugs, tell you, "I'm a hugger, deal with it."
Nope. It's your child and you have a duty to protect them and decide what is best for them.

That also includes the way people handle them. People have filthy hands and the amount of people who admit to not washing their hands after things like using the restroom is atrocious. With what's happening in the world these days they should know better than to do that anyway.
they got old people germs. and dust. LOLOL
@ReptilianFromPlanetCrush exactly this! That's how I caught COVID tbh

Not let strangers touch babies!
i wouldn't even think of doing that....just like you wouldn't see me touching old ladies melons....the ones in their shopping cart of course 🙃

yes it is rude to tell them

I would however suggest 1) an air horn or 2) a cattle prod
