I never heard my mother sing - I never saw my dad throw or catch a ball.

I never saw my mother swimming or roller skating. Pop could do both, and I learned how from him. Nonetheless, Mom was fairly athletic; she rode horses and played tennis.
I can count on fewer than the fingers of one hand the times I saw my mother cry, and it wasn’t until much later in her life.
The one time I ever saw Pop cry was when we lost Mom. 😞
