By blocking app installs in the Play store you'll effectively disable their ability to run out and install "Snapchat" , facebook, instragram, etc.

You could also remove the browser entirely after restricting applications so now they can't browse the web with it either.

Effectively locking it down so they can't access Social media, only use it for music.

Some of the things you suggested would require root access to totally disable on cellphones. Kids are smart enough to enable things in the settings.

@DeWayfarer If you buy a Onkyo it's easy to do and you are root by default on Android.

@PDXNative1986 trick. Disable it and then reenable it. That removes whatever from any lists and allows you to reenable it.

The only way to do this right is root access to totally remove the apps.

BTW a smart kid would have a backup of their apps.

I have multiple versions backups of all my apps. Even from old cellphones.

@WoWgirll Yeah, I'm teaching them to surmount every possible difficulty now :D Hell, I probably just taught them how the fuck to Pirate music again in 2025 like it's 2001 all over again. USE SOULSEEK.
