I am really curious why

I have heard of stories over and over with how strict and rough parent's was in the 50s up to the 70s was. I mean today if a parent acted like that it would be considered as child abuse. But back then it was normal

[@lilylovesgaming198] 🤔nobody likes child abuse there was things that happened in them times under the guise of reasonable chastisement. i am all in favour of corporal punishment in the family circle but only either as a threat last resort
