I'm so sorry. Make use of the resources provided by the social workers. There's also visual aids you can download online to help your son communicate but before even considering that, it sounds like you need some time regulate yourself. Ask for respite, if possible and without shame. Nobody has it all figured out by themselves. Look up local charities and/or places of worship, they're always offering food or additional support. I hope you see better days

It sounds like you're in an incredibly hard situation, close to burn-out, and with no family or other help near by.
Your idea of speaking to a social worker about help to get a break is great.
It sounds like you might need a few other things as well:
1. a wearable e-tag that sends an alarm to emergency services if you do crash out.
2. a plan created between you and the social worker to get your kid the specialised help he needs, and to help teach you how to help him, and to develop a set of goals and the means to reach them.
3. a weekly repite carer to give you 4 hours off, using it to take care of yourself.
4. an online social group for parents of kids with autism
5. access to your local library, which will have books on autism, some will be e-books
How old is he?
Has he had a specialist assessment?
Do you have other kids at home with you?
