My kid just said he was thinking about moving out one day

And that made me very sad ...it came out of nowhere..
😢 I know he will be 18 next year and that is normal but still he's my baby boy 😭

It was really hard for me when my nephew moved out at 18. There was a year of only seeing him every couple of months, and he barely texted. But a year later and he started texting again and I see him a couple times per week now, and we hang out

Oh wow, I can relate. When my adult son moved out I was a mess for a while. Then I thought to myself it would be worse (for him) if he wanted to stay forever.

Aw :( I'm moving out this fall. I know my parents are happy for me and the new stage of my life that's coming up, but it's bittersweet for them as well.

My son just turned 18 last week. He's already signed a waiting list for an apartment with a couple of his bros to move in this summer. I remember the doctor handing him to me when he was born, like it was yesterday. I feel very old now.

It's rough, my daughters are moving out and my son is talking about buying a house

@pripyatamusementpark I'm mega clinging on to my youngest cuz this sucks
@Nebula It's the first and only time he has ever mentioned it . He would always talk about how he's never leaving home ...it made me sadder than I thought it would

My son is 30 and never leaving home, medical reasons
@nedkelly aww geez I'm so sorry to hear about your son
I know it's hard 😔
@Bexsy I was surprised how sad I was ...wasn't expecting that . I have been a pain in his ass lately ...well alot ..so that's probably why

It’s so weird to hear everyone talking about their kids on here and loving them. Mine literally mumbled about killing me and kicked me out during the divorce. You all are freaks and your kids are lucky to have you.
@Captainjackass sounds like a back story ...I'm sure loads to unpack there

@pripyatamusementpark meeh they were just horrible people and all my relatives are the same. Your kid better be grateful his mother loves him or I’ll wedgie him! Then again I was adopted by bettybeez so maybe Im not so unlucky.
