That's about the age my daughter was when she decided she didn't want anything to do with me any more and my two sons both started to become very combative mentally.
But now five years later they are both getting on with the things I taught them how to do but they seldom ask me for help.

Maybe don't do something hard and would require a lot of explaining.
Instead, do something you really love that is simple and see if she would show interest. But don't stick to that one thing. Enjoy your time spent with her. Give her memories of how she would be treated as a woman.
I don't know about other daughters. But I still remember the moments I was a kid and came to dad to his work. And at lunch, we ate out and bonded, and he told me not to grow up. He treated me like he knew how precious I am but knows one day, he'd have to let me go. So he made sure to tell me then that he would be my date for the now.
So the thing that you would leave her is how you made her feel and how she thought you felt when you were sharing the experience.

You showed her what engineering is like and she's 10.
She reacted as a 10-yr-old might.
Perhaps you should have continued to generate some options for her...and presented them to her afterwards.
If she could see what the results of your method are, she'd likely be more open to it.

@BritishFailedAesthetic oh she is. Perhaps not quite as much as you might think, because where she falls short in IQ she might be making up for in enthusiasm. Like me getting my bachelor
