Were your parents strict when you were growing up?

I would say that I grew up in a pretty strict and religious household. My parents, dad especially, were the old school "spare the rod, spoil the child" type like how their parents raised them, if you get what I mean.

my mom was a single mom and my grandparents helped her raise me, they weren’t really too strict, but they did for sure whoop my ass when i needed it 🤣 all 3 of them did lol. but i’m thankful for how i was raised. i miss my grandparents so much and my mom is my best friend.
