Were your parents strict when you were growing up?

I would say that I grew up in a pretty strict and religious household. My parents, dad especially, were the old school "spare the rod, spoil the child" type like how their parents raised them, if you get what I mean.

My mother by to days standards i would say she was overly strict and her punishments. My 4 kids was punished but nowhere near as hard as we was. Now they have children and they bring them up the same
