Were your parents strict when you were growing up?

I would say that I grew up in a pretty strict and religious household. My parents, dad especially, were the old school "spare the rod, spoil the child" type like how their parents raised them, if you get what I mean.

By todays standards, yes. We were Catholic, with school and Mass, confession every Sunday. And while my parents were initially about the "rod", (it was certainly how they were raised) they stopped that and opted for grounding and restricting privileges.
