We pretty much much raised ourselves !
Our parents were folks who met, probably through work.
Moved in together....or rather, moved OUT from the claustrophobic family home just to assert their independence.
Got married ('cause that's what was expected of you back then) then each worked while we got ourselves sorted for school.
Then we wouldn't see each other again until they came home after work.
