It was a complicated relationship with my parents. They supported me in what they wanted for me, not in what I wanted for myself. It wasn't malicious, but it was misguided. It was all they knew, but it wasn't healthy for me.
I think they've supported me in the ways they've known how to.

They didn't really get much support from their parents, they gave me more than their parents did even if it didn't and sometimes still doesnt feel like much
