My daughter’s afterschool schedule:

Monday, 16:30 to 17:45 ballet classes
Tuesday; 16:15 to 17:15 piano lessons
Wednesday 16:30 to 17:45 ballet class
Thursday 16:15 to 17:15 piano lesson
Friday 16:30 to 17:45 ballet lesson

After each of these activities she must complete the day’s homework set by her teachers, and her additional reading that I set her.

I know it looks dull and boring, and she doesn’t look to have time for her friends but I have no problem her friends coming over from school and their doing their homework together. If they finish early that is good, and they have time to do those girly activities like try clothes, play with makeup, listen to music and chat about whatever they want, but I prioritise homework because it is a good life lesson; do all the things you are obligated to do and then enjoy your free time together.

Usually we have our evening meal between 20:30 and 21:45, then she can watch TV but lights must be out before 23:00 on a school night. No excuses!

Weekends are free for her to enjoy with various activities on Saturdays but Sunday morning she has church followed by lunch with her grandparents.

I’m teaching her how to use the washing machine and how to press her own clothes, how to repair socks and knickers and how to polish her shoes.

@ToddpicogramakaSatan We read the Holy Bible every morning to set ourselves up for the day with thoughts from God!
